Orders usually take 1 week to make and then a week to ship. We’re located in Southern California, so if you’re on the west coast, shipping times will be faster. You can expect to receive your sign 3 weeks after ordering.
Exterior finish is a polyurethane clear coat that we apply to signs at an extra cost. If your sign will be displayed outdoors, exterior finish is a great way to extend the life of your sign. We recommend using exterior finish whenever your sign will be displayed outside, exposed to the elements or in direct sunlight.
To extend the life of a wooden sign, we recommend re-applying exterior finish every 1-2 years. If you’ve ordered a sign without exterior finish and you’d like to add a finish, fret not! It’s very easy to add your own finish to a sign. There are numerous finishes available at your local hardware store. We recommend a spray on polyurethane because it’s easy to apply and it will last a long time.
Note that a finish will slightly darken the wood color.
