Park Style Signs in the Wild: Customer Photos From Cabins, Ranches and Camps

We photograph every sign before it ships, but the best photos are the ones customers send back.
A personalized national park sign looks good on a workbench. It looks a lot
better screwed to a wooden post in the woods or hung by the front door.

Here are a few of our favorites, what each family put on their sign, and how they hung it.

Park style welcome to our cabin sign screwed to a wooden post in winter woods
A cabin sign mounted straight to a post with screws

A cabin in the woods

“Welcome to our cabin” across the top, the cabin’s name on the light panel, and the year it
all started. This one is screwed straight onto a square post at the edge of the trees, which is
about as simple and sturdy as mounting gets. In winter, with the leaves gone, the light panel is
the first thing you see from the drive.

A mountain ranch, with the elevation

This family added the town and the elevation, 8,800 feet, on the bottom line. The elevation
line is one of the details that makes these feel like the real thing, and it is a fun one to
look up. The dark background with a bear in the arrowhead suits a mountain property.

A family camp with a date to remember

Not every sign needs an established year. This one carries a full date instead, which works
well for a sign made for one big day, like a family reunion, a wedding weekend, or the first
summer at a new place. The script camp name and a cat in the arrowhead keep it personal.

A home with its own monogram

Welcome to our home park style sign with custom initials in the arrowhead
Custom initials worked into the arrowhead emblem

Instead of an animal, this family put their initials into the arrowhead. You can send any
simple silhouette or logo and we will work it into the emblem. Mounted on dark green siding by
the front door, the natural lettering really stands out.

A property with a sense of humor

A made up place name, with the customer's own additions

“Now Entering” and a made up place name is one of our favorite formats. The customer mounted
this one high on a post and added their own decoration underneath. Your sign does not have to be
serious, and some of the best ones are inside jokes that only the family fully understands.

A camp sign hung from a frame

Hung from a crossbar between two posts

“Welcome to the Nest” hangs from a crossbar between two posts in this yard, next to a Tennessee
flag. Hanging a sign this way lets it swing a little in the wind, so it pays to use hardware
rated for outdoor use and to add our exterior clear coat.

How our customers mount them

Where it goes How to mount it Recommended
Siding or front door wall Wood or metal hanger, screws into a stud Exterior clear coat if it gets rain
Single post Screw straight through the sign into the post Exterior clear coat, stainless screws
Hanging from a frame or beam Eye hooks and chain Exterior clear coat, leave room to swing
Indoors Wood or metal hanger with the included anchor Clear coat optional

If you are not sure, tell us where the sign is going and we will suggest the right hanger.
Our wood hanger comes installed, and the metal hanger ships separately with a drywall anchor and
screw.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add the elevation or a town name?
Yes. Add any custom text in the notes and we will lay it out in your proof.

Can I use my own icon in the arrowhead?
Yes. Pick one of our icons or send a simple silhouette, initials, or a logo.

Will it hold up outside?
Choose the exterior clear coat. It is a hand sprayed spar urethane, and a sign in full sun and
rain will look best with a fresh coat every year or two.

Can I send you a photo of mine once it is up?
Please do. We love seeing where they end up.
