Raised Logo Signs

A raised logo sign is your brand mark cut as its own piece of wood and lifted off the backing board, so it sits above the surface and casts a real shadow. That shadow is the whole point. It is the difference between a sign someone notices from across a lobby and a decal they walk past.

Two layers, sometimes three. A stained or painted birch base carries the wall, and your logo is cut separately and mounted on top. Each color in the mark is cut, hand mixed to match your brand, painted and assembled by hand.

• Base: 1/2 inch baltic birch, stained or painted
• Logo: cut from 1/4 inch stock and raised off the base
• Colors: hand mixed to your brand reference, not picked from a stock set
• Depth: add a third layer where your logo has an inner and outer element
• Sizes: 18 inches up to 60 inches on the long side

A printed or vinyl sign is flat, and under directional lighting it stays flat. A raised logo picks up a highlight on the top edge and drops a shadow underneath, which is what makes it read as an object rather than a graphic. It also photographs far better, which matters if your reception wall ends up in customer photos.

Can you do our exact logo?
Almost certainly. Send a vector file (.svg, .eps, .ai or a high quality PDF) and we will show you a proof before anything is cut. Very fine detail sometimes needs thickening slightly so it survives the cut and holds up on the wall, and we show you any change like that first.

How many colors can it have?
As many as your logo needs. Each is mixed and applied separately, so more colors adds build time.

Can it go outside?
Yes, with an exterior clear coat added as an option.

How long does it take?
About a week for an interior sign. Longer with an exterior finish, because the coats need proper cure time between them.
