Yellow is a difficult color on wood and it works here entirely because of the base. On any
warm stain, yellow lettering sinks into the timber and stops being a separate element, because
the wood already has yellow in it. Against ebony it does the opposite. The contrast is close to
maximum, which is exactly right for a brand whose color is doing safety and visibility work in
the first place.
White handles the wordmark and the yellow carries the accent. Both stay fully legible under the
fluorescent and LED high bay lighting that industrial buildings actually use, which is a real
consideration and one that catches out anyone who picks colors under showroom lighting.
